The RCA J13804 is a CRT television designed for use in American prisons, and is most notable for its transparent plastic case. It is among the last CRTs ever released, as it is equipped with a digital ATSC TV tuner in addition to an analog NTSC TV tuner.
Disassembly Notes
The outer case screws are Torx T20. There is also a Phillips screw on the bottom but its purpose is unclear and does not need to be removed. The motherboard is secured into the case with plastic tabs and sits on plastic rails. Press down on them enough to allow the motherboard to slide out, then slide it out of its rails.
