P/E Continuity Trace infographic remake
As part of the 'System powers on when connected to mains...' issue, I had intended to include a suitable infographic though it seems to be licensed to the original site they came from (Though long dead, an archive is available here.) I feel it may be worth coming together to reproduce this, I will need users with 1.0-1.1 and 1.6 revision consoles help with this for appropriate high resolution images to work with.
Requesting comment for clarification purposes
I have recently disassembled a v1.6 Xbox which was previously unopened. I am not 100% sure whether it is a "Taiwan" or "China" v1.6 xbox, as I had removed the information stickers a few months ago to assess which drivers I needed. I've filled in some missing data (and intend to fill in more in a future disassembly) but need someone with experience with these devices to comment on some findings while inside of the device before I continue filling in information and providing corrections. I have identified that the ODD within this Xbox has a fully-directly-driven mechanism set, with three motors: the disc rotation motor, the tray motor (worm-geared), and a motor for locking the disc tray in place. Is this known to be unique to some revisions of Xbox? As well, I have noted that I cannot locate a supercapacitor anywhere on the main motherboard. Is this within the power supply board, or is it possible I'm using a parts revision which removes this capacitor entirely? EDIT: A cursory google I should've done first reveals the known-to-fail supercapacitor just isn't there on the 1.6 xbox. EDIT 2: This xbox is a v1.2 xbox I mistakenly identified as a v1.6.
