The Clarion PF-3391A-A or 86201FJ630 was a stereo used in Subaru cars, including the 2012 Subaru Impreza. It has AM and FM radio capabilities, as well as Bluetooth, CD, and AUX input capabilities. My unit was made in February 2011

Known Issues

Disassembly Notes

First, remove the mounting brackets used to secure the radio into the vehicle (if there are any).

Next, flip the unit until you can see the back of the unit, with all of the connectors.

Unscrew the two screws on the side of the display module in the back.

Pry the bezel until it is mostly off, then pry the display module away. The display module is connected to the rest of the unit with connectors, so there are no ribbon cables to remove.

If you just want to get access to the top of the CD mech, just unscrew the screw at the top of the unit up from the sticker.

Otherwise, take all of the screws off of the back heatsink/back panel and take all screws out of the two sides of the player.

You can now remove the CD mech ribbon cable by tugging on the piece of plastic attached to the ribbon cable.

If you want to get to the main board, you will also need to remove the screws holding down the CD player PCB, then remove it. Pry the first tray away from the second tray (the metal left and right sides of the unit are made up of two trays).

You can now see the main PCB. Undo the 5 screws to unfasten it from the bottom.
