This device is in the WorkNeeded:General category because it was flagged as missing general information about the device. The information may be incomplete, using default text, or inaccurate and should be verified with external sources if possible. If you can add or correct information on this page, please feel free to edit it and do so. |
Preliminary Information | |

Release Year | 2002 |
Leak Risk | High |
Batteries | None |
Mounting Technology | Through Hole, SMD, BGA |
Capacitor Types | Aluminum Electrolytic |
Destructive Entry | No |
I'm not sure what brand this card is, and my example is no longer working so I cannot check in software. I couldn't find any information about this model online, either. If anyone knows, feel free to update this page.
Known Issues
The two 220µF capacitors (C2, C67) tend to bulge and leak from the bottom, making the failure less easy to spot. If not replaced they can explode, releasing smoke and causing damage to the card. The 220µF capacitors should be replaced as soon as possible.
Note that the 220µF capacitor at C67 is missing in the photo, I only had one suitable replacement on hand to install. C67 didn't explode yet but was still failing from the bottom so it was removed.
Disassembly Notes
Try unscrewing and using the open tip of a pen to release the plastic heatsink clips, if repasting.

The card may also support SMD type capacitors; solder pads are present on the PCB for this purpose. However this has not been verified.
If parts are not available or different selection is preferred, you can use the values in the Original Parts section to perform a parametric search.
