This device is in the WorkNeeded:OriginalParts category because it was flagged as missing information on the original parts. It may have replacement parts listed but those cannot be assumed to be identical to the originals. If you have a list of the original parts, please feel free to add them by copying the relevant table from EditorsToolbox:Tables |
This device is in the WorkNeeded:ReplacementParts category because it was flagged as missing information on replacement parts. If it has the original parts listed you may be able to search for replacements using the parametric searches available from parts distributors. If you have or make a list of replacement parts, please feel free to add them by copying the relevant table from EditorsToolbox:Tables |

A portable USB 2.0 audio interface released by TASCAM in around 2009, using bus power. Not compliant with the USB2 audio standard. Named similarly to the historical TASCAM 122 MkII and TASCAM 144 MkII, which are different devices.
Known Issues
No audio
Causes
- This device is not compliant with the USB2 audio standard and requires a unique driver to be fully functional.
Solutions
- If you are on a version of Windows or MacOS where you are able to install the proprietary driver, install the driver from TASCAM's website. If you are on desktop Linux, you are able to use the usbusx2y driver along with JACK. You will need to blacklist the USB audio driver, and drop in configuration for ALSA which allows JACK to understand how to use this interface. It will be listed as a US122L.[1]
Disassembly Notes
The device has multiple tension fits which are easy to accidentally damage. The device has a small number of screws that are identical in basic dimensions, colouration, and head to another type of screw in the device, but have a completely different thread, so inspect the threads of screws when removing them.
Original Parts
PCB, MAIN TEAC US-144MKII G
These devices use the same motherboard, with some components removed for the US-122mkII. Information filled out using a US-122mkII as reference. Table below is incomplete.
