Nippon Chemi-Con corporation is a Japanese company founded in August 1931 (named SATOH DENKI KOGYOSHO until the company's reorganization in August 1947)[1]. They make Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitors, Supercapacitors (Electric Double Layer Capacitors), Aluminum Polymer Capacitors, Film Capacitors, Multilayer Ceramic Capacitors (MLCCs), Metal Oxide Varistors (MOVs), Inductors, and Camera modules. Failures/Capacitor Plague
Chemi-Con KZG and KZG capacitors from around 2000-2010 are known to fail. These capacitors fail due to the special Ultra Low ESR electrolyte that did not contain the necessary preservatives.
