Known Issues

Knob is Gone

Causes

  • A big whack

Solutions

  • Replace potentiometer, hopefully find knob

Buttons Stuck Inside

Causes

  • Rushed reassembly
  • Depressed in too far

Solutions

  • Open device, remove button panel, re-apply double sided tape to secure buttons and replace them, reassemble

Disassembly Notes

Be sure to remove knobs, slider caps, rotary wheel, and nut under rotary wheel when removing top panel

Clear faceplate over LCD is double sided taped on top and bottom. Use a thin guitar pick to break glue loose from inside and then work it slowly from the front once raised. Warning: the tinted covers over 7 segment displays can be scratched

If parts are not available or different selection is preferred, you can use the values in the Original Parts section to perform a parametric search.

Note: It seems detented potentiometers are not being made or are extremely difficult to find. The provided part number is from the P09x datasheet[1] that should be detented but there are no good sources available. A non-detented model could be substituted without issue.
