I like the look of echo as I'm not ready to incorporate email services into the site yet and that could be helpful. I'll look into it more and see how it will interact with email once I have decided on how I may handle that in the future.
I don't fully understand the purpose of interwiki and like most extensions it does a really poor job of explaining what it does on the main page. Is it for simplifying an editors work for linking to outside wikis by providing a look-up-table to replace the full domain? If that is right I don't think that is needed at this stage since this wiki isn't currently heavily tied to any other wikis and just writing out the full URL is possible.
