Identifying Capacitor Brand
One of the hardest parts about identifying these types of capacitors is figuring out what brand they are. Most capacitor brands do not put a brand name or logo on these types of capacitors. However, there are a few that do (examples below).
Identify Capacitor Series
The next thing to do is to identify the capacitor series.
For Nippon Chemi-Con/United Chemi-Con
- What color is the writing on your capacitor?
If Blue: Go here (Aluminum Polymer Solid Capacitor)
If Grey/Black: Go here (Aluminum Polymer Hybrid) or here (Aluminum Electrolytic SMD)
2. Select Capacitor max. temp, rated capacitance, and voltage from the left, then scroll down and select the "Search" button
3. Go through the available capacitor series. Check the letter on your capacitor to help in finding the correct capacitor series.
