Rubycon is a Japanese company founded in April 1952 that makes Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitors, Aluminum Polymer Capacitors, Film Capacitors, and Power Supplies. [1] In addition to their Japanese production facilities, they have a facility in Indonesia (P.T. Rubycon Indonesia). They have sales branches in the Netherlands (Rubycon Corporation Netherlands Branch), Germany (Rubycon Corporation Munich Branch), the United States of America (Rubycon America Inc.), Singapore (Rubycon Singapore Pte. Ltd.), India (Rubycon Singapore Pte. Ltd. Mumbai Liaison Office, Rubycon Singapore Pte. Ltd. Bengaluru Liaison Office, and Rubycon Singapore Pte. Ltd. Failures/Capacitor Plague
Rubycon MBZ and MCZ capacitors from around 2000-2010 are known to fail. These capacitors fail due to the special Ultra Low ESR electrolyte that did not contain the necessary preservatives.
