What is the general consent about sorting the various brands if one company was taken over by another one?

My suggestion: Current Name / Name bevor takeover / Name bevor that takover / etc.

Example: TDK / EPCOS / Siemens

Or should every brand have its own entry and the takeover mentioned in the brand description text?
