Known Issues
Symptom or Problem Encountered
Light starts flickering after couple years of use.
Causes
- Failed (leaking) electrolytic capacitors on the main PCB (typically CE3-CE6)
Solutions
- Replace failed capacitors.
Disassembly Notes
PCB can be dangerously close to the metal backing its mounted to, causing some pins to touch the backing plate. Seems like there should have been plastic insulator in between the PCB and the metal plate.
