IBM PS/2 Model 60 PSU
- For more information, see this article's corresponding Wikipedia page: Device.
The IBM PS/2 Model 60 PSU uses a proprietary form factor with a non-standard AMP motherboard connector. The IBM part number is 6278215. The PCBs in the PSU are made by Zenith and have a copyright of 1986.
The housing disassembly requires a Torx T10 security bit. The housing is comprised of two metal pieces. The fan and a PCB containing two filter AC capacitors and a transformer are mounted to the L-shaped housing piece. A much larger PCB is mounted to the opposite housing piece. Wiring between the two pieces makes disassembly difficult. The strain relief bushing for the motherboard is especially challenging and required brute force with pliers to remove. The fan must be removed from the housing and a several zip ties must be cut in order to fully separate the two housing pieces and gain full access to the PCBs.
