The Dot by CDI was a portable IBM compatible-ish computer with built in CRT, printer, and 3.5in floppy drive(2).

There is a very difficult to access screw to the right of the CRT that must be removed to gain full access to CRT analog board.

The best recommendation I have is to put two of the stated capacitors here in parallel to attempt to get enough ripple current endurance. But this is UNTESTED.
