Disassembly Notes
Disassembly steps:
- Pry latches at rear of case top / side plastic moulding outwards.
- Lift case top / side plastic moulding away.
- Remove adhesive vinyl strips from either side of front panel to reveal securing screws.
- Use №2 Phillips screwdriver to remove two screws securing front panel to chassis.
- Move front panel forward to release from chassis.
- Use №2 Phillips screwdriver to remove two screws securing rear heatsink to chassis.
- Slide mainboard and heatsink assembly rearwards to align larger part of keyholes in mainboard with chassis standoffs.
- Lift mainboard and heatsink assembly away from chassis with front panel.
It is not necessary to remove the front panel assembly from the mainboard to carry out servicing.

Replacement Parts
E361X-60002 Mainboard
The E3616A uses many low impedance capacitors, and it is important to select as close as possible equivalents as replacements to maintain performance. The following were taken into account:
- Same capacitance value.
- Same or greater maximum voltage.
- Same or lower diameter.
- Same lead pitch if possible.
- Same or greater maximum ripple.
- As similar as possible impedance.
- 105°C preferred.
- Nichicon and Chemicon preferred manufacturers.
