Neck Board Removal
The neck board on the SC1224 has many cables and connectors on it and is glued to the tube with a patch of silicone.
Disconnection Checklist:
- Detach two ground wires going to screws on the power supply
- Disconnect black (degauss?) cable on the bottom of the neck board
- Cut silicone around socket
- Cut sleeved cable ties holding it to the neck board to give room to move it
- These are soldered in place connectors that cannot be unplugged
- Pay attention to red cable (CRT heater?) as it is permanently connected to the tube socket and flyback transformer
